What membership means
Formal membership is a way to express the partnership we share in the gospel and our commitment to love and belong to the Ev Community.
Love and belong
Commit to gathering on Sundays, eagerly loving people in the Ev Community, forgiving one another and encouraging others to live as Christians.
Partner in the gospel
Support and promote the mission of Ev Church, including being generous with your time, energy and money.
Have a voice
Vote at the church AGM to appoint four elected members of the Executive Committee, which oversees the trust’s legal and financial obligations.
Who can apply?
Formal membership is open to people who:
Requirement | What this means |

Faith in Jesus | You profess faith in and submission to Jesus Christ as Lord, Saviour and God. |
Our mission | You agree to support and promote the mission of Ev Church. |
Age | You are at least 18 years old. |
Participation | You have attended Ev Church meetings for at least three months. |
Other church membership | You are not a formal member of another church, unless the Executive accepts extenuating circumstances. |
Application and approval | You apply for formal membership and are approved by the Executive. |
